Neonatal VA-ECMO Neck Cannulation Simulator

A high-fidelity, anatomically accurate simulator designed for training in neonatal veno-arterial (VA) ECMO neck cannulation. Developed in-house at 3DHeartLab, this model replicates the layered anatomy of the neonatal neck, including skin, soft tissue, and critical vascular structures such as the carotid artery and internal jugular vein.
 
The simulator is engineered to provide a realistic dissection experience, allowing trainees to practice exposure, vessel identification, and cannulation techniques in a controlled environment. A transparent cardiac component enables visualization of cannula positioning and flow pathways, reinforcing spatial understanding and procedural accuracy.

The base system includes three interchangeable training cartridges, allowing for multiple practice sessions out of the box. Additional replacement cartridges are available for $50 each, enabling ongoing use without the need to replace the full simulator.
